Biosciences and Healthcare Summer School
Greater Manchester students considering university have the opportunity to take part in hands-on workshops, taster lectures and career sessions in biosciences or healthcare, running from 30 June to 4 July 2025.
You'll be introduced to a variety of topics to help you make an informed decision when completing your UCAS application.

Aren't biosciences and healthcare the same?
Biosciences and healthcare are interrelated professions but they each have their own responsibilities and specialism.

Pharmacology

- Study drug effects on biological systems;
- Devise experiments;
- Conduct clinical drug trials;
- Analyse and interpret data from tests;
- Manage staff and specialist lab equipment.
